Finding Forgiveness In Face Of Addiction
D’Naysia’s mother struggled with drug addiction. She and her sisters were placed in foster care while their mother was placed in a rehab institution. After about a year, her mother did get better, but only for a little while. Her family’s reunion was shortened after a fire claimed their home and almost all of their belongings. To help pay for the loss, the siblings all started mowing lawns for what should have been a sustainable income. Instead, their efforts only fueled their mother’s drug addiction yet again. “If you try to understand why something is happening you can try to forgive that person.” Learning from other’s mistakes allows you to avoid a lot of hardship.
