I experience favor all the time, whether getting through the airport with 150 KG of windsurfing equipment an baggage, finding accommodation wherever I go, or with financial commitments, my needs are always met and sometimes in miraculous ways. Though I travel the world alone, I am never lonely because God is always with me. I’m so blessed that I was taught at an early age how the Bible should always be the constant point of reference to discern what is right, what is wrong and what is God’s heart and mind on things. Many people own a Bible, but it’s not much good if you don’t know what it says! The truth that sets people free is recorded there in this book. There comes a time when you become accountable for your own life and the choices you make have eternal consequences. I made the decision in high school when I was about thirteen when I agreed with God that Jesus is our only Savior and I chose then to live the rest of my life with Him as Lord. I understood my need to be forgiven and that God loved me and wanted to bless my life. He showed me the only way to sped eternity with him was simply and only through His son Jesus Christ. One of my favorite verses that has helped me pull through difficult times in the past and gives me great hope is I Cor. 2L:9, “For no eye has seen, nor ear hear, nor entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” |

I grew up in a traditional Latin American family where religious faith and family relationships were top priority. I viewed God as this powerful being, high in the sky. I knew that He loved me, yet God always seemed so distant. Soccer, too, has always been a central part of my life and family. While in high school a friend invited me to her church. That day, the pastor’s words seemed pointed right at me. I knew I needed to follow Jesus. So that very day, I began a growing relationship with God. Today, through all the ups and downs of life, I lean on my faith in Jesus for constant guidance. My plans are to live step by step with God in control. When I keep Him first, I grow strong, confident and secure in His will for my life. I’m grateful for Jesus’ sacrifice to rescue me from death and to bless me with a reason to live. Now I want to influence others to know and follow Christ. I trust in Jesus to make me a good example for my children and for all who see me. From testimonycards.com
