I accepted Jesus Christ …at Calvary Chapel in Melbourne. I find that when I know his will is being done in my life, satisfaction is guaranteed.  He pretty much is my life, and I try to be on his path. He has given me everything that I have, this has nothing to do with me at all. I'm stoked to be able to thank Jesus Christ for everything. I'm able to enjoy all I have to much more because of that.

(His advice to others -- )  Love what you do and it will take care of you. Trust in the Lord.

My favorite aspect of beach volleyball -- I love playing defense. You're trying to save the ball from hitting the ground, and there's nothing better then when your opponents have open net, and they think they are going to get this point so they crush the ball, and you just dive under it and get that ball up and put it away for a point. There's nothing better than that feeling of ‘Yeah, so what. I got you. Give it your best shot.'

I think after winning the gold medal, I think my favorite moment is: sometimes before matches we hear the national anthem, and I just always relive that -- winning the Olympic gold medal -- over and over. So I think right now it's listening to the national anthem 'cause I replay what happened in Athens. Even though it was four years ago, it still feels like I'm there. I get the goose bumps, I get the emotions and it's just like a movie that always kind of plays when I hear the anthem of our country.

(Discussing her injury on “Dancing With the Stars” --)  We don’t know why things happen the way they do, but you must pick up the pieces and continue building the puzzle. Even though this has sidelined me from dancing for a while, I am relieved that this injury didn’t affect team May/Walsh’s chances at capturing that second gold.

This marks only the beginning of a new journey for everyone to follow me on. It marks the beginning but not the end. I plan on working my hardest to come back stronger than ever so that I may make a full recovery for both getting back on the court and on the dance floor. So everyone don’t worry! From the words of Arnold…......I’LL BE BACK!!!!

I’ve been born again, saved, since I was 13.  I grew up in the church and had some situations around 13 or 14 and made a decision to change my life.

All the success I’m having is because of Him.  He’s my everything.  He is my heavenly Father. He’s been there in every situation. Without Him, I’m nothing.

I want to lead by example.  I try to make the right decisions in life and stay out of wrong places. I always get fed by the Word.
