Testimony
I have been involved in racing for so long, I’m still trying to figure
it out. I think this sport is very hard, because they start you at such a young
age. To do the things we have to do, and have done, at 16 is pretty tough. You
have to come into the sport and get your feet wet. It’s a tough sport for
a kid straight out of high school when you’re trying to figure out what
you’re going to do for the rest of your life and you get dropped in the
middle of the race scene. It’s a crazy change.
Life on the road has been tough from time to time, with us having two kids.
I want to do what’s best for my family. I want them to be able to see Daddy
enough.
When I first had kids it inspired me to give 100% and give them something to
look back on . . . and to know for myself that I had given 100%. I try to teach
them through my life and racing career how I think a good way to live is. I try
to be the best possible example for them as they grow up.
My advice to you:
After the years of adapting and taking in all the stuff you learn, you just
have to stick with it and it will all come together. Stay positive.
